The Internet went nuts on Wednesday night when Jerry Jones was shown on TV by NBC at the Cowboys-Giants game having his eye glasses cleaned by someone in his luxury box. While we, and many others, joked that Jones had a personal glasses cleaner, the man assisting him turned out to be his son-in-law, Shy Anderson.
Jones was informed about the big to-do concerning his glasses, and he joked about it on his radio show on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.
“That was Shy Anderson my son-in-law who was trying to help his father-in-law where he could see the ballgame,” said Jones. “He reached down and said ‘those need to be cleaned.’
“He’s paying the price on it, and we’ll figure it out … somebody might need to be shining my shoes up there, somebody else serving me hors d’oeuvres between the huddles,” he joked.
At least Jerruh has a good sense of humor about it. And let’s be real: how many people would be lining up to feed him appetizers or shine his shoes? Heck I’d do it, so long as I got to hear him rap in exchange.
