Wow. I'm glad you got all of that attention. However, the people who tried to get you off of the internet were definitely violating your right to express your views in a public forum.

Mark probably should have been invited, and he certainly has come across as a good sport in subsequent interviews.

That being said, you correctly reported his first comments as "bitter". maybe he got some good advice in the interim and changed his tune.
Also, everyone took his remarks about not being invited as "the gospel".
I would like to hear who the "five greatest Olympians" were, which ones were still alive, and who invited them before I accept Mark's entire statement as factual.

Mark Spitz had a great achievement when we needed it most, at Munich, and his performance should never be discounted. However, when his subsequent televison career went south, he did turn bitter as he lost much of his celebrity status.

Neoconservative fan base backs Spitz.

The Likud Party, with help from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise Institute, and Sheldon Alderson, most likely orchestrated the attack.

Glad to see LBS back up and running.

I think it took more that just the Mark Spitz fans to shut down the site...they probably were in collusion with the O.J. Mayo followers and the entire Southeast Conference fan base, too.
