Aaron Judge still unsure when he will be able to swing bat again

Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge still sounds a long way off from returning to the New York Yankees lineup.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the 26-year-old slugger, who is dealing with a chip fracture in his right wrist, said that the wrist was “still fractured.” Judge also added that he was unsure when he would be able to start swinging a bat again, according to Mandy Bell of MLB.com.

Judge has been on the shelf since he was hit on the wrist during a win over the Kansas City Royals on Jul. 26. The Yankees have gone just 7-6 in the two-time All-Star’s absence, mostly having to rely on Shane Robinson (who is hitting a mere .190 this season) to occupy his spot in the lineup.

If Judge wants to make it back by the original timetable that he was given, it doesn’t bode well that he’s still not sure when he can even pick up a bat again.
