Brewers’ Adrian Houser jokes about vomiting on mound while pitching
Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Adrian Houser had one of the worst experiences one could probably have on Sunday, but he kept his sense of humor about it.
Houser vomited twice on the mound while pitching the eighth inning of Milwaukee’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies, which is enough to embarrass anyone. After the game, though, Houser wasn’t letting it get him down. In fact, he compared himself to Willie Beeman of Any Given Sunday fame when assessing the situation in the clubhouse.
Adrian Houser was in good spirits after the game. "I got it all out," he joked. Day started at 5 a.m., flew into O'Hare, drove up to MP and arrived about 30 minutes before first pitch. Said the combination of travel and heat got to him.

“It happens. Like JJ said, trying to pull out my inner Willy Beeman.” – Adrian Houser, referring to his vomiting spell in the 8th, and comparing it to Any Given Sunday's Willie Beamen, who puked in the huddle in the 1999 movie.

One good thing that came out of the situation? Houser’s insistence on gutting it out and finishing the inning impressed his teammates.
Adrian Houser earned some points with his teammates for pitching through his issue today. "It was one of those things. But hey, he toughed it out," said Chase Anderson. "You tip your cap to that. That’s hard to do."

You have to credit Houser. He kept it together, got through the inning, and laughed it off afterward.
