Bald eagle causes scare at Dodger Stadium, ends up safe (Video)
As part of their Fourth of July celebration on Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers brought in a trained bald eagle to fly around Dodger Stadium. As it turns out, the bird needs a bit more training.
After taking a lap around for the fans, the eagle — named Chinook — flew right past its handler and exited the ballpark through center field. Here’s a video:

Fortunately, Chinook did not wander very far. He actually waited by his handler’s van and was later returned safely to the Los Angeles Zoo.
@Dodgers Happily, our bald eagles are fine + safely back at the Zoo. Although he missed his mark, Chinook waited by the van for his trainer

As soon as we saw that video, we couldn’t help but be reminded of the time another bald eagle flew directly into the press box during a pregame ceremony. These majestic creatures truly have minds of their own.
