Blue Jays bullpen has funny message for couple they overheard breaking up
The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen is usually called on to save games, but now they find themselves potentially trying to save a relationship.
The Blue Jays defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 6-5 on Friday, and afterwards Jays reliever John Axford tweeted an interesting story about something that happened during the contest. Axford said a couple broke up near the team’s bullpen in the fifth inning and offered well wishes on behalf of the entire Jays relief corps as well as a standing offer for them to come back and talk it out.
Dear couple that clearly broke up while standing near our bullpen in the 5th inning today,
Lovely entertainment for a few minutes, but we hope you’re ok. Feel free to come back tomorrow and discuss with us. We can provide the third party point of view!
Love,
The Jays bullpen!

The Jays and Phillies will meet for two more games this weekend, so the offer seems to be fairly solid. As for Axford himself, acting as a relationship guru for a couple on the rocks wouldn’t even be the craziest thing he has done for a fan.
