Report: Blue Jays could promote Vlad Guerrero Jr. to Triple-A within month

It is only a matter of time before Vladimir Guerrero Jr. makes his way to the majors, and the Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly planning on taking the next step toward getting him there in the very near future.

Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports that the Blue Jays have discussed the possibility of promoting Guerrero to Triple-A within the next month.

Guerrero, the son of soon-to-be Hall of Famer Vlad Gurerro, has been destroying Double-A pitching this season. He is hitting .409 with a .677 slugging percentage and 1.137 OPS in 51 games with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. When you see how far some of the home runs he has hit this year have gone, you get an idea of the type of potential the 19-year-old has.

The Blue Jays do not want to rush Guerrero since he’s still so young, but it won’t be long before he’s playing for them if he has anything close to the type of success in Triple-A that he has had at the lower levels.
