Report: Braves aggressively shopping Erick Aybar, Jeff Francoeur, others
If you’re trying to find the hottest garage sale of the summer, look no further than the Atlanta Braves.
According to a report by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports on Sunday, the Braves are “aggressively shopping” shortstop Erick Aybar, outfielder Jeff Francoeur, and some of their lefty relievers.

Aybar, 32, is batting .208/.267/.262 this season with one home run and 17 RBIs. Meanwhile, Francoeur, also 32, is at .251/.292/.379 with five home runs and 26 RBIs. The lefty arms in the Braves’ bullpen include Ian Krol, Eric O’Flaherty, Dario Alvarez, and Hunter Cervenka.
The Braves have the worst record in all of baseball this year at 33-65, and thus have an incentive to blow it up. But all of those aforementioned pieces are unlikely to fetch much of a return on their own, so Atlanta may have to package something together in order to acquire anything that might be useful to them for the future.
