Braves minor leaguer has five fractures, concussion after being struck by line drive
Atlanta Braves minor league reliever Josh Ravin is doing okay after being hit by a line drive on Thursday, but there’s been a lot of damage done.
Ravin was struck in the head by a line drive while pitching for the Gwinnett Stripers during Thursday night’s game, but was able to get up under his own power before departing the game.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Josh Ravin, who was just struck in the head by a hard line drive hit back up the middle. He got up under his own power to take a seat on the Gator along with our trainer, Nick Jensen.

On Friday, he tweeted out the damage — five facial fractures and a concussion.
Thank you all for the well wishes!!!
5 facial fractures and a concussion… Further evaluation on Sunday in ATL when swelling goes down.
Much Love!

Ravin will obviously be out for a while, and we can only hope for a full recovery. He’s had some pretty brutal injuries both on and off the field, and may this be the last of them.
