Brewers reportedly remain in pursuit of Yu Darvish
Milwaukee’s mission to contend next season is not ending after their acquisitions of Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain last week.
Fan Rag Sports’ Robert Murray reported on Tuesday that the Brewers remain in talks with Yu Darvish and have been heavily pursuing him.
A week ago, a report had said Darvish had a five-year offer on the table, though he clearly has not agreed to any deal just yet.
Three weeks ago the free agent pitcher had said his list was narrowed down to six teams. The Rangers, Astros, Cubs, Yankees and Twins were among the teams. There was speculation that the Dodgers were also in the mix, and now we can add the Brewers.
Darvish, 31, has made the All-Star team in four of his five big league seasons. He is 56-42 with a 3.42 ERA in his career.
