Report: Brewers, Reds talking Matt Harvey trade
Matt Harvey may be going from the bottom of the NL Central to near the top.
Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported on Thursday that the Cincinnati Reds and the Milwaukee Brewers are engaged in “ongoing” trade talks on the former All-Star pitcher.

The Reds are shopping the 31-year-old Harvey, who has gone 5-4 with a 4.30 ERA in 13 starts for them since being acquired in May. Milwaukee had already been mentioned as a potential suitor along with a couple of other NL clubs.
At a division-worst 45-58, the Reds figure to be sellers before the Jul. 31 trade deadline, especially on Harvey, who will be a free agent after the season. The 58-46 Brewers, meanwhile, currently hold the first Wild Card spot in the NL and have been battered by injuries to their rotation. That could create the perfect match here for both sides.
