Carl Crawford is the father of Evelyn Lozada’s baby
Evelyn Lozada, the ex-wife of Chad Johnson, is over six months pregnant, and the father of her baby is Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford.
Lozada’s pregnancy was first reported about two weeks ago. Lozada is a reality TV personality who became known for her role on VH1’s “Basketball Wives” beginning in 2010. She got on the show because of her lengthy relationship with former NBA all-star Antoine Walker. Lozada remained in the spotlight after breaking up with Walker, and she began dating Ochocinco. The two even got married for their spinoff reality show, but she got a divorce and the show was cancelled following a domestic violence incident last summer that led to Chad being cut by the Miami Dolphins.
Since checking NBA and NFL athletes off her list, Lozada has moved on to MLB.
What’s interesting is that Crawford had another child around the time Lozada got pregnant. Crawford’s latest child (believed to be his second) is from the same woman who is the mother of his 10-year-old son. He and the woman — Amy Freeman — were not in a relationship when she became pregnant. Bossip also says Crawford and Lozada were not in a relationship when Amy became pregnant.
If there’s anything we have learned from this story — aside from knowing that Lozada loves her athletes — it’s that at least we know Crawford’s boys can swim.
Crawford has four years left on the seven-year, $142 million contract he signed prior to the 2011 season. He had a bounce-back season for the Dodgers and hit four home runs in 10 playoff games.
