Carlos Correa says Astros took naps, ate junk food during rain delay
The Houston Astros had to navigate their way around a four-hour rain delay in a game against the Orioles on Sunday, so they unleashed their inner everyman to pass the time.
Astros shortstop Carlos Correa told Brian McTaggart of MLB.com that the team waited out the delay by taking naps and eating all the junk food in sight.
Correa on delay: "We ate so much junk food, we took so many naps. We ate burgers, pizza, candy, everything, waiting for the game."

While this anecdote probably won’t do any favors towards putting the punchlines about baseball players’ conditioning to rest, you can’t argue with the results as Houston took down Baltimore by the final of 5-3 once play resumed. At 64-60 on the season and in need of a boost to qualify for the playoffs, perhaps this change in clubhouse dietary habits will be exactly what the Astros need. I say just go all out and hire this other famous Houston athlete to be their new nutrition coach.
