Casey McGehee went nuts during Marlins-Brewers fight (Video)

Miami Marlins third baseman Casey McGehee and manager Mike Redmond were both ejected from Thursday’s game with the Brewers after two Marlins were hit by pitches in the same at-bat.

First Giancarlo Stanton was hit in the face by Mike Fiers (the pitch was called a strike because Stanton swung), and then Fiers hit pinch-hitter Reed Johnson, though that pitch also was called a strike.

The benches cleared after Fiers went inside on Johnson, and nobody was more upset than McGehee. The former Brewers infielder went nuts and flipped out on his old team.

McGehee explained after the game why he went all berserker raging.

“I got thrown out for arguing swings, is what I got thrown out for,” said McGehee via MLB.com. “I guess I’ve got to know better, but at the same time, you see our best player laying there, knowing he’s going to the hospital and carted off the field, and that’s ruled a swing. And then the next pitch hits the next guy, almost the same pitch, and that’s ruled a swing, too.”

Not only was he ejected, but it looked like he busted up something in the dugout. That might cost the team a few grand.
