White Sox teammates channel Boyz II Men in farewell to Jose Quintana (Video)

It was an interesting day in Chicago as pitcher Jose Quintana was traded from the White Sox to the defending World Series champion Cubs.

The move caught many in the baseball world off guard, including Quintana and his White Sox teammates. And before his locker was even packed up and shipped out, fellow pitchers Derek Holland and Carlos Rodon decided to have a little fun with their friend’s departure.

The two posted a video on social media set to Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” and then cracked wise about their intent to sell some of his belongs and a bottle of lotion at an upcoming yard sale.

In exchange for Quintana, the White Sox landed a haul that included outfielder Eloy Jiménez, pitcher Dylan Cease, first baseman Matt Rose and infielder Bryant Flete. Jiminez is Baseball America’s No. 5 prospect in the game.

The 28-year-old Quintana is 4-8 with a 4.49 ERA this season, but finished the 2016 season with a record of 13-12 and an ERA of 3.20.
