Braves reliever Chris Withrow struggles to open bullpen door (Video)
The Atlanta Braves have the second worst record in all of baseball, and one particular event Friday night summed up their season perfectly.
Reliever Chris Withrow was summoned from the bullpen in the 7th inning, but there was just one problem: he couldn’t get out of the bullpen no matter what he did.
It should be noted that this was at Citi Field in New York, so this was a road game. Sabotage at its finest? Something funky with the door? Probably the latter, but hey, we like our conspiracy theories. They’re fun.
Withrow did eventually get out, but he might have preferred not to after facing two batters and giving up a walk and a hit. Still, the Braves won the game 5-1, and hey, getting stuck in a bullpen beats getting stuck in a broadcast booth, doesn’t it?
