Corey Seager feeling close to normal despite back injury
Corey Seager is showing improvement from a back injury that kept him off the NLCS roster, which is a good sign for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke with reporters prior to Game 2 of the NLCS on Sunday. He said Seager is feeling “normal-ish”, which he took as encouraging.

Seager played in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks and hurt his back on a slide in Game 3, but the Dodgers surprised everyone when word came out Saturday that the shortstop would not be on the NLCS roster. Charlie Culberson started at shortstop in Game 1 on Saturday.
As of Saturday, Seager said he was hopeful but unsure of his status if the Dodgers were to advance to the World Series. They lead the Cubs 1-0 in the best of seven series.
