Diamondbacks installing humidor at Chase Field to try to help pitchers
Chase Field has long been a haven for hitters, but the Arizona Diamondbacks are now trying to fix that a little bit.
Diamondbacks team president Derrick Hall said Friday that the team plans to install a humidor at the ballpark in order to help the team’s pitchers.

Arizona’s 5.09 team ERA was worst in the National League in 2016, and the team has started 2017 by allowing 19 runs in the first three games.
The humidor has been used at Coors Field in Denver, though it’s controversial with some. Arizona doesn’t have the same problem Colorado faces with their altitude. They just play in a hitter-friendly park. This seems like overkill.
