Dodgers pick up Dave Roberts’ option for 2019
Dave Roberts will be back as the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers for at least the 2019 MLB season.
The Dodgers said on Wednesday from the GM meetings in Carlsbad, Calif. that they have picked up Roberts’ option for 2019.
#Dodgers have picked up Dave Roberts club option for 2019 season but will continue to negotiate and expect to reach agreement on multi-year deal at some point.

Roberts originally signed a three-year contract with a fourth-year team option ahead of the 2016 season. The team has won the NL West in all three of his seasons and reached consecutive World Series, though they lost in both years.
There have been questions about Roberts’ job status after he received criticism for many of his playoff moves. Despite that, the Dodgers have expressed interest in extending his contract.
