Dodgers reportedly told Yasiel Puig not to get a helicopter

Yasiel Puig helicopter

The traffic getting to and from Dodger games can be brutal in Los Angeles, so Yasiel Puig thought he found a loophole that would allow him to bypass all that congestion on the roads: a helicopter. Unfortunately, the Dodgers were not behind that plan.

Back in February, the man who customizes Puig’s cars said the Dodgers outfielder was looking into buying a helicopter to help him get around more efficiently. The Dodgers quickly told him he couldn’t use a helicopter to get to games the way Kobe Bryant does by landing a chopper across from Staples Center.

“The Dodgers told him he couldn’t have it … It was causing so much distraction they didn’t want him to get it,” Puig’s friend and car customizer Alex Vega told TMZ Sports.

The good news is we haven’t heard much about any tardiness from Puig this season, so helicopter or not, he’s doing well. He just needs to pick up his stats for the Dodgers as they’re expecting more than the three home runs and .717 OPS he’s currently giving them.
