Dustin Pedroia did swing on final pitch of Game 1
Sorry, Dustin Pedroia, but your outrage at the umpires at the end of Game 1 of the ALDS between the Red Sox and Indians was misplaced.
Pedroia went nuts at the end of the game after it was ruled he swung on a 3-2 pitch that bounced in the dirt. Pedroia checked his swing and insisted the umpires had made the wrong call by saying he went, which resulted in a game-ending strikeout.

Indians reliever Cody Allen struck out the first two batters to start the ninth before allowing a single to Andrew Benintendi, who homered earlier in the game. Boston was hoping for a rally to tie the game or take the lead, but Pedroia was called out by the umpires on the 3-2 pitch, sealing the 5-4 win for Cleveland.
