Giants fans put wedding reception on hold during 18-inning game
A pair of die-hard San Francisco Giants fans weren’t about to let anything get in their way of watching the longest postseason game in MLB history on Saturday night — not even the most important day of their lives. Chasen and Courtney Orozco are so hardcore that they put their wedding reception on hold until Game 2 of the NLDS was in the books.
Its our wedding right now and all we can do right now is root for @SFGiants #OctoberTogether #OrozcoPartyof2

And the newlyweds weren’t just doing it for their guests. We know that because Courtney and Chasen had a Giants-themed cake.

The Orozcos waited until Brandon Belt blasted a solo home run in the top of the 18th and the Giants closed out the game before cutting their cake, which was right up there with some of the best cakes we have featured.
How long did the game take? Only 6 hours and 23 minutes, but at least it ended with a victory. Waiting that long to celebrate your marriage only to watch your favorite team lose would probably put a damper on the big day.
