Glen Perkins had a pretty solid weekend on Twitter
Minnesota Twins all-star closer Glen Perkins is having a pretty strong season on the mound, and he had a pretty solid weekend on Twitter. The relief pitcher closed out the first two games of the Twins’ series against the Cleveland Indians over the weekend — both 3-2 wins — but there were a couple of small hitches.
On Friday, he realized he was pitching with his zipper down:
Nothing like getting two outs in the bottom of the ninth and realizing your fly is down!

The next day, he made sure the embarrassing mistake didn’t repeat itself:
This is no lie; I checked my zipper at least 50 times in the bullpen tonight.

Perkins then changed his Twitter avatar to the photo at the top of him fixing his fly. Then after closing out Saturday’s 3-2 win, Perkins correct the Cleveland Indians on Twitter for misspelling his name:
It's Glen RT @Indians: #MNTwins and Scott Perkins hold on for a 3-2 win for the second straight night.

Look, Cleveland, this guy is an all-star. You can’t go around messing up his name like he’s some sort of nobody. Get it straight.
