Houston Astros wear Rockets gear for road trip
The Houston Astros were all about supporting one of the city’s other teams in the postseason as they headed for a road trip on Sunday.
The Astros beat the Rangers 6-1 on Sunday and now head to Anaheim for a 3-game series with the Angels. As they left for their trip, all their players were wearing Rockets gear. Some really got into it, like Justin Verlander, who brought a basketball, and George Springer, who wore a headband.

The Rockets will host the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday.
“There’s been a big buzz around our club about the Rockets. … a tip of the cap to them. Support them the best we can as a one-Houston sports city,” Astros manager AJ Hinch said.
Perhaps the Rockets will take a page from the Astros’ book and win it all this year, which would make Houston a championship sports town after the Astros won the World Series in the fall.
