Indians considering using Trevor Bauer out of playoff bullpen
The Cleveland Indians may have a weapon to make their playoff bullpen even deeper.
Indians president Chris Antonetti admitted that the team has considered using Bauer, who fractured his fibula and has not pitched since August 11, as a reliever during the postseason.

It’s unknown when Bauer will return, but it seems unlikely that the Indians will be able to get him stretched out in time for the playoffs. Given the issues they’ve had with their bullpen, another arm back there would help. If Bauer can eat two or three innings semi-regularly, that would be an enormous help to Cleveland’s bullpen, even if they would definitely prefer him to be starting.
