Jose Canseco implies he’ll shoot daughter’s boyfriend Mike Stud
Jose Canseco has not yet had the pleasure of meeting his daughter’s boyfriend, but the former MLB star has a surprise in store for the young man when the day finally comes.
Canseco’s daughter, Josie, has been dating rapper Mike Stud, a former pitcher at Duke whose baseball career was derailed by Tommy John surgery. TMZ asked Canseco over the weekend if he has any thoughts on the relationship, and Jose did not hold back.
“I actually spoke to him one time. He’s a nice guy. I’ve yet to meet him,” Canseco said. “Josie’s gonna bring him over so I can meet him. I’m gonna answer the door with a gun in my hand and see how he reacts — if he runs or if he stays. If he runs I’m gonna catch him.”
Canseco also joked that it’s “not my fault” if the gun goes off. He made the quip after the photographer mentioned the embarrassing incident over a year ago in which Canseco accidentally blew his own finger off.
“All I know is he better treat my little girl right,” Canseco added. “If he doesn’t, he’s got to deal with all 6-foot-4, 260 pounds of me. That’s gonna be ugly, Mike Stud, so get ready. Treat my daughter right or else.”
That’s pretty much all the standard stuff you would expect a father to say, and at least Canseco didn’t go down the incredibly weird road Mike Tyson took us down recently when asked about his daughters.
Just be careful, Mike Stud. You never know what Canseco is capable of.
