Justin Verlander hilariously trolled over World Series by LA restaurant
Justin Verlander was a huge part of the Houston Astros team that defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2017 World Series, and some people really want to make him pay for that in the most literal sense.
With the Astros in Los Angeles for a weekend series against the Angels, Verlander had lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Friday, and found himself with a rather unexpected charge on his bill.
Hey, they’ve got a point. Verlander has a pretty ridiculous record of pitching well in elimination games. He didn’t eliminate the Dodgers, but the Astros certainly wouldn’t have pulled off the series without him.
Still, best to ask the manager about that bill. Especially the $95,000 sales tax.
