Kris Bryant has funny quote about lengthy injury absence
Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has been out since June 22 with a shoulder problem, and it’s safe to say he’s not used to sitting around for that long.
Bryant joked on Sunday that he hasn’t been away from baseball this long since his mother last grounded him.

Bryant has been very durable during his MLB career to date. In his three seasons, he’s never played in fewer than 151 games, but that streak will end thanks to his injury this season.
The good news for Bryant? It appears he is getting close to a return, so his time in baseball purgatory will soon be at an end.
