Matt Harvey leaves start with tight left hamstring
Matt Harvey’s night ended early on Tuesday, with a leg ailment being the culprit.
The Mets pitcher was working in the sixth inning when he needed to be checked out by the team’s trainer. It was later announced Harvey was dealing with a tight left hamstring.

If there is a silver lining, it’s that Harvey did not exit due to discomfort in the shoulder he had surgery on last year that ended his season. That said, hamstring injuries can be tricky and have the potential to be a lingering issue.
Harvey joins Jean Segura and Trea Turner on the list of players to suffer hamstring injuries so far this season. Both have been placed on the disabled list by their respective teams. Let’s hope that isn’t the case for Harvey.
