Matt Moore traded to Giants
Here comes the inevitable even year boost.
The San Francisco Giants announced on Monday that they have acquired former All-Star lefty Matt Moore from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for third baseman Matt Duffy and a pair of minor league prospects, shortstop Lucius Fox and right-hander Michael Santos.

Moore, 27, had also been pursued by a fellow NL West club in recent days.
The Giants are thin on southpaw starters behind ace Madison Bumgarner, so Moore, who is beginning to rediscover his command and velocity after undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2014, should provide them with a nice change of pace.
Moore is arbitration-eligible for next season, but in the meantime the division-leading Giants are betting on him to be an impactful contributor for their rotation come the postseason.
