Report: Mets still looking to add starting pitching

New York Mets

The New York Mets on Monday made another addition when they agreed to a two-year deal with Todd Frazier. While many teams are taking things slowly this offseason, the Mets have been adding to their team and apparently aren’t done.

MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo says the Mets are also looking to add some starting pitching help.

As for what kind of pitcher the Mets will get, they haven’t been tied to any of the big arms like Yu Darvish or Jake Arrieta. But the New York Post’s Joel Sherman shed some light on the type of arms they could contend for:

Besides Frazier, the Mets have added Jay Bruce and Adrian Gonzalez, and they re-signed Jose Reyes. These aren’t necessarily the biggest names around, but they should help improve the club in 2018.
