Miguel Cabrera placed on DL with hamstring injury
Miguel Cabrera continues to have problems staying healthy.
The Detroit Tigers placed Cabrera on the 10-day DL Friday with a right hamstring strain. Cabrera suffered the injury on Thursday against the Royals.
The timing of the injury has to be frustrating for the Tigers given that Cabrera had just returned from missing a few games with a biceps strain.
Cabrera entered the season with a mission to have a big year after being hampered by a back injury last season. Though he’s hit the ball well when healthy, he keeps being sidelines by injuries.
In 26 games this year, Cabrera is batting .323 with nine doubles and three home runs.
