Report: Milton Bradley charged with battery for allegedly beating wife

Milton Bradley

Former MLB player Milton Bradley has been charged in yet another domestic violence case, the most recent of which stems from an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his wife in January.

TMZ reports that Bradley has been charged with battery after police were called to his home on Jan. 28 when a woman said Bradley had gotten physical with her during an argument. The ex-MLB All-Star was not home at the time, as he had fled the scene. After investigating the incident, the Los Angeles City Attorney charged Bradley with a misdemeanor of battery on a spouse, which carries a penalty of a fine and up to a year in jail.

Bradley, 39, has a long history of domestic violence. Police were called to his home multiple times in 2005 for domestic violence matters. He was arrested and charged with threatening his wife with a baseball bat in 2011. She later divorced him.

In 2013, Bradley was sentenced to 32 months in jail for abusing his wife five times between 2011 and 2012. He got out in 2016 after serving 15 months.
