Sean Casey catches foul ball at Home Run Derby (Video)

Baseballs are flying out of the Great American Ballpark at the 2015 Home Run Derby. One guy who knows a good deal about that is former MLB great Sean Casey, who spent eight seasons in Cincinnati, clubbing 118 home runs in a Reds uniform.

Call it good hometown karma, if you will, but Casey found himself in the right place at the right time on Monday night at his old stomping grounds. Sitting behind the left field foul pole, Casey, who now works as an analyst for MLB Network, caught an errant line drive off the bat of Blue Jays slugger Josh Donaldson in the first round.

Casey is a guy that was definitely known in his day to track down a baseball or two hit at the Great American Ballpark. Monday night proved that he’s still got it with his superb snag at the Derby, one made even more impressive by the fact that Casey did it as a spectator instead of as a player this time. The only way this could have been scripted any better is if hometown representative Todd Frazier was the one whose foul ball Casey caught.
