Teammates give Scott Van Slyke ‘hot foot’ (Video)
With Yasiel Puig, Juan Uribe, Adrian Gonzalez, and Hyun-Jin Ryu around, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ dugout often looks like a fun place to be. Of course, winning tends to help provide an environment conducive to playful behavior and the Dodgers have been doing plenty of that lately, going 7-3 in their last ten games.
On Sunday, the Dogers added to their win total on the season by defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 6-0.
With the game comfortably under control, outfielder Scott Van Slyke became the victim of one of baseball’s oldest pranks, the “hot foot”. Adrian Gonzalez did the honors by lighting the matches that were stuck to Van Slyke’s shoe with gum.
And a good laugh was had by all.
As is generally the case with things that take place during Dodgers games, listening to Vin Scully narrate the prank makes it that much more enjoyable.
