Vince Velasquez likely to return to Phillies rotation Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Vince Velasquez looks set to make a quick return to the mound after being hit by a comebacker last week.
Phillies manager Gabe Kapler announced Monday that Velasquez, who last pitched on June 30, looks set to make his return to the mound on Wednesday against the New York Mets.
Vince Velasquez "almost certainly" will start Wednesday, according to Gabe Kapler. No decision yet on whether Nola will start Saturday or Sunday. The latter would take him out of pitching in the All-Star Game. #Phillies

Velasquez made an amazing play even after getting injured by a comebacker against the Washington Nationals. Luckily, the injury didn’t turn out to be serious, and he didn’t miss any significant amount of time.
