What is A.J. Burnett Thinking with His New Hairstyle? (Picture)
The A.J. Burnett signing has not worked out for the New York Yankees. Last year, he finished the season with a record of 10-15 to go along with a 5.26 ERA. This season has been nearly as bad, with Burnett toting an 8-9 record and an ERA of 4.60. At age 34, A.J. is not getting any younger. Something has to give or his days in pinstripes will almost certainly be numbered. Still, that’s no reason to change your hairstyle and walk around looking like a clown — literally. Is this guy serious? Even if this is an attempt to turn things around, it’s not worth it bro. Eric Wedge already tried that and it didn’t work for the Mariners. We see some crazy haircuts from time to time in baseball, but at least some of them are cool. We’re all about Evan Longoria rocking the Wild Thing look and Coco Crisp busting out the afro every now and then, but Burnett’s bleached mushroom cut has to go. If this is what his Yankee career has led him to, it’s all over.
