Yankees ‘not overly concerned’ about Gleyber Torres injury
The New York Yankees got a bit of a scare when second baseman Gleyber Torres left Wednesday’s game against the Atlanta Braves with a hip issue.
Torres didn’t start Tuesday’s game due to a lingering hip issue, and it flared up on Wednesday, forcing his early removal and an MRI.

Manager Aaron Boone said after the game that he was “not overly concerned” with Torres’s hip, and made it sound like the injury was minor.

We won’t have final word until Torres undergoes an MRI, but this is definitely a relief for the Yankees, especially with some of the issues they’re dealing with on the injury front. The 21-year-old has been a standout for the Yankees, hitting .296 with 15 home runs so far this season.
