Yasiel Puig day-to-day after X-rays on foot come back negative
Yasiel Puig appears to have avoided serious injury while making a great catch in right field on Saturday.
Puig injured his foot as he ran into the corner in San Francisco to rob Nick Hundley of a hit in the first inning of the Dodgers’ 15-6 win over the Giants.

The Dodgers said on Saturday night that X-rays on Puig’s foot were negative and that the outfielder was day-to-day.
Puig remained in the game to bat in the second and was 0-for-2 before being replaced in the outfield. Top prospect Alex Verdugo got the start in right field in the nightcap of the double-header. Puig is batting just .193 and has yet to homer this season.
