Yasiel Puig leaves game with strained muscle
The Los Angeles Dodgers are getting yet another unwelcome visit from the injury fairy.
During Sunday’s series finale against the crosstown rival Los Angeles Angels, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig left the game early with an injury. Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reported that he suffered a right intercostal oblique strain.
Alden Gonzalez of ESPN relayed that Puig appeared to injure himself with a violent swing on a foul ball.
Dodgers RF Yasiel Puig appeared to injure his right side while fouling off a pitch and has come out of the game. He actually appeared to hurt himself on the previous pitch, then swung violently on the following one.

Puig, who is hitting .265 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs this season, already had a stint on the disabled list in May with hip and foot injuries.
Oblique strains are typically worrisome for hitters, so the Dodgers will be keeping their fingers crossed that Puig can avoid another DL trip, especially with another one of their sluggers also suffering an injury scare recently.
