Report: Yu Darvish turned down Dodgers to join Cubs
The Los Angeles Dodgers weren’t put off by Yu Darvish’s World Series struggles as they tried to retain the starter.
According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Dodgers were in the Darvish sweepstakes right up until the end and even offered him similar terms. The star right-hander, however, chose to sign with the Chicago Cubs instead.

Perhaps Darvish simply wanted to move on after an awful World Series in Los Angeles. Reports had indicated he wanted to return there if the terms were right, but something obviously made the Cubs stand out in the end, whether it was the money, length of the deal, or something else entirely.
