$100k in possessions robbed from Nick Young’s house during Lakers game

Nick YoungNick Young scored 26 points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 103-94 victory over the Orlando Magic Sunday night, his highest output since 31 points on January 20.

Any good feelings from the victory and Young’s performance shifted to the back burner when the Lakers’ second-leading scorer on the season returned to his home following the game.

He arrived to find a window broken and the place burglarized.

“I walked in and saw drawers open, clothes all over the floor. I know I didn’t leave my place like that,” Young said Monday via the Los Angeles Times. “Then I looked at the window and it was broken. Glass all over the floor. That’s when I knew someone had gotten in there.”

“I think they knew that I had a game that day. I think they scoped it out a little bit,” Young said. “Obviously they knew nobody was in the house and they knew we had a game so they came at the right time.”

Among the items no longer in Young’s possession are popular Nike Nike Air Yeezy sneakers.

If there’s a guy in the NBA who can create a lighthearted moment at a time like this, it’s Nick Young, who summed up the situation as only he can.

“I was just shocked they tried to get ‘Swaggy.”
