Andre Iguodala doubtful for Game 7, could miss Finals time if Warriors advance

Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala was hoping he would not have to miss any time after he injured himself bumping legs with James Harden in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, but his multi-game absence is expected to continue on Monday night and possibly beyond that.

ESPN’s Ramonda Shelburne said on “SportsCenter” that Iguodala should be considered doubtful for Game 7 and could potentially miss time in the NBA Finals if the Warriors beat the Rockets.

“From what I understand, his injury is more severe than anyone initially thought,” Shelburne reported. “When he initially suffered the injury, he told Steve Kerr he thought he’d be OK. The next morning it swelled up. It’s been determined that it’s a bone bruise. Steve Kerr told me he had a bone bruise during his career and missed three weeks with it.”

The play where Iguodala suffered the injury did not look all that bad, but he has admitted he is no lock to play in Game 7.
