Cleveland Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum made his return to Philadelphia on Friday night, and he entered the game to a chorus of boos from Sixers fans in the first quarter. As you know, Philadelphia acquired Bynum in a trade two seasons ago and he never appeared in a single game for the Sixers because of injuries.
After the game, Bynum didn’t seem offended by the reception he got. In fact, he seemed disappointed for a strange reason.
“I thought it was a little weak honestly,” Bynum said, via Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com. “I thought it would be much worse.”
Sixers fans continued to boo Bynum every time he touched the ball and checked back into the game. He said he was entertained.
“I was smiling the entire time,” Bynum said. “It was funny to me.”
Bynum played a season-high 18 minutes, scored four points and grabbed five rebounds. He was hardly a game-changer, and the Sixers ended up getting the best of the Cavs. At least he enjoyed his evening.Google+
