Report: Anthony Davis considered day to day with sprained ankle
Anthony Davis has been banged up quite a bit in recent weeks, and it sounds like his latest injury will force him to miss at least one game.
Davis rolled his ankle while grabbing a rebound in the third quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, and X-rays came back negative. However, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that he suffered a sprained ankle and is considered doubtful for Friday night’s game.
MRI results on New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis’ left ankle revealed a sprain, league source tells ESPN. He’s day to day and doubtful for Friday game.

Davis also had an injury scare in a game on Tuesday, though he was able to return and later revealed that DeMarcus Cousins cracked a funny joke about it. The star big man has kept the Pelicans in the playoff race in Cousins’ absence, and New Orleans can ill afford to lose Davis for any extended period of time. Expect them to heir on the side of caution with their franchise cornerstone.
