Athletes react to Russell Westbrook breaking triple double record
Russell Westbrook’s unbelievable season continued on Sunday with a performance that earned him a place in the NBA record book.
Coming into the game against the Nuggets, Westbrook had amassed 41 triple-doubles this season, tying the mark set by the legendary Oscar Robertson. Westbrook now stands alone atop the list. With a 50-point, 16 rebound, 10 assist effort, the Thunder guard recorded his 42nd triple-double of the season. Westbrook also knocked the Nuggets out of the playoff race with this play.
After Westbrook reached the feat, athletes from all over the sports world offered some pretty great reactions and congratulatory tweets. Here are a few.
