Blake Griffin accused of slapping, choking man at club

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin has reportedly been accused of choking and slapping a man outside a nightclub in Las Vegas.

According to TMZ, Griffin was partying with some teammates at Tao nightclub early Sunday morning when a man took out his cell phone and tried to take a photo of the crowd. The man, who is named Daniel, told Tao security that Griffin was bothered by the flash on the camera and “grabbed my phone with one hand.”

When Daniel wouldn’t give the phone to Griffin (he says it had his ID and credit card attached to it), Griffin allegedly grabbed him by the neck and squeezed, telling him to give up the phone “or else.” Daniel claims Griffin eventually got the phone and that the 6-foot-10 forward grabbed his neck again when he asked for it back.

The alleged victim says security then showed up, at which point Griffin told them to “get (Daniel) the f— outta this club.” Daniel claims Griffin then slapped him across the side of the face. The alleged victim later filed a battery report and spoke with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department the next day for about an hour.

DeAndre Jordan, who was supposedly with Griffin the night of the alleged incident, told TMZ that he had no idea Griffin was being investigated and that he does not recall his teammate assaulting anyone.
