Blake Griffin charged with misdemeanor battery for alleged club incident

Blake GriffinBlake Griffin was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly grabbing a man’s neck inside a Las Vegas nightclub last month.

Griffin was partying with some Clippers teammates inside Tao Nightclub when hegot into it with a man who took a photo. Griffin was allegedly upset that the man, Daniel Schuman, took a photo that set the flash off in Griffin’s face, so the Clippers forward supposedly grabbed the man’s phone and neck. Griffin supposedly told the man to hand over the phone “or else.”

Club security was called over and Griffin told the security to remove Schuman from the club. The next day Schuman reported the incident to Las Vegas police, which decided to charge Griffin.

According to TMZ, Griffin faces six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. Griffin does not have any prior convictions.
