Bobby Portis tells Jodie Meeks to ‘shut up’ over criticism of flagrant
Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis was not taking criticism of his Saturday ejection lying down.
Portis was ejected from the Bulls’ game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday for a hard foul on Tomas Satoransky. Understandably, Satoransky’s teammates were not pleased with the foul. Veteran guard Jodie Meeks was quick to criticize Portis for the potentially dangerous play after the game.
Wizards guard Jodie Meeks on Bobby Portis' flagrant-2 in which Tomas Satoransky was hurt: “If a guy has a clear lane to the basket, if you can’t get there, let him go, don’t try to take him out. Obviously, not everybody abides by those rules.”

On Sunday, Portis saw Meeks’s comments and did not take them well, to say the least.
.@Jmeeks20 bruh shut up. You sound foolish. Anybody watching the vid know I went for the ball. https://t.co/ffb7LA1y3k

You can see for yourself and be the judge of what Portis’s intent was, but it’s hard to argue with the Flagrant 2 that he was assessed. You can understand why the Wizards were aggrieved, whatever the aim was.
