Bucks made move on Kidd based upon dropping into the 8th seed in the East, frayed relationships in organization and general non-alignment, league sources tell ESPN. Bucks job will be most sought after of offseason, largely because of @Giannis_An34.

Clearly, Bucks management feels the team is underachieving and the atmosphere isn’t good. They’re 23-22 and occupying the final playoff spot in the East, but they have a bona fide MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo and made a rather significant investment to bring in Eric Bledsoe as well. They’ve lost two in a row, and apparently, the Bucks felt it was time to make a change.
The team clearly soured on Kidd, a coach they signed to a contract extension a year and a half ago. It’s worth noting that the circumstances of his departure here sound similar in some ways to what happened in Brooklyn, where his relationship with certain Nets figures went south. He bows out in Milwaukee after posting a 139-152 record in his tenure there.
